Catering: Explosion requires that all clients use the Museum’s designated caterers. You may not cater your own Wedding. A list of caterers and sample menu’s is enclosed within this pack.
Bar Provision: the Museum holds a full premises licence. Standard hire times at the Museum require a cash bar to close at 11.15pm and entertainment to cease by 11.30pm.
You may not provide your own alcohol or attempt to run your own Cash Bar. A bar provision must be sourced from either our designated caterers or Mobile Bar provider.
Decorations / Equipment: - Explosion advises that you carefully consider the time required to complete the setup and/or installation of any decorations on the day of your booking. It is unlikely that decorations and other equipment can be setup before the day of your booking, as the Museum is likely to be hosting other events. The Museum may also be hosting events the next day, so it is essential that you discuss all your requirements with a member of staff.
Explosion staff and your selected caterers can help to setup a variety of different things on the day. This may include table decorations, favours, floral decorations etc. Please discuss your requirements with a member of staff.
Candles: Please note the Museum does not allow Candles within the Magazine and Museum Buildings.
Confetti: Please note the Museum does not allow Confetti within the Magazine and Museum Buildings. However, Confetti can be used outside in the Museum grounds.
Deliveries: Items are often delivered to the Museum, usually on the morning of the event. These items may include floral decorations, balloons or even a Wedding Cake. It is essential you inform Museum staff of any such deliveries in advance. Once delivered, the Museum staff can keep the items secure and ensure they are positioned/setup accordingly in the Magazine.
