These posts will be on an ‘as and when required and available’ basis, to support the current team and will include weekend work.

General Manager (Royal Navy Submarine Museum and Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower)

The National Museum of the Royal Navy (www.nmrn.org.uk) is a rapidly developing organisation with five main museum sites, and five major naval vessels to care for including HMS Victory as well as six affiliate trusts who work closely with us. Together we welcome almost 700,000 visitors a year. Our investment plans are ambitious.

We are now looking for an experienced General Manager for our Royal Navy Submarine Museum and Explosion! Museum to ensure our visitors are delighted with a first class service whilst operating in a safe working environment and acting commercially in all that we do.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering outstanding customer service within a management role in tourism, museums or a heritage organisation. Sound budgetary experience, excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams across multiple sites is essential.
